Linda Cook Demo is the mother of Melissa Cook. She worked in the field of Education in Northwest Indiana for 34 years, teaching everything from Headstart to 12th grade. She specialized in the teaching of reading. She also worked as an administrative intern and a resource teacher during those years, but her heart was always in the classroom. Linda retired in 1998 and moved to Tarpon Springs, Florida with her husband, Paul. She has enjoyed tutoring just for the fun of it.

Paul worked for 40 years in Northwest Indiana as an iron worker, specializing in construction. He and Linda are now retired and living in Florida. Paul enjoys golfing, but spends most of his time working on Melissa's legacy through the building of the women's softball stadium at the Notre Dame and the startup of his foundation to educate young people.
